Unfair Game

“It’s a give-give-give and take game” — Unfair Game is for anyone stuck in a toxic, draining imbalance. Whether it’s a relationship or a situation that takes without giving back, this song is your anthem.

It’s about reaching that final mountain, climbing to the top, and deciding to stop. No more reasons to stay.

It’s a promise to stay true to yourself, hold your head high, and reclaim the worthy game you deserve. Let Unfair Game be your strength.

I dedicate this song to anyone experiencing an imbalanced relationship of any kind, feeling overwhelmed or drained. I hope this song can offer some help, perhaps to encourage them to take that step forward. I’d be truly happy if this song helps someone.

Behind the video and the song

This video was filmed in Donegal, Ireland, just like Rainbow Time, but this one was shot at Gartan Lough, and they were filmed during different trips. In fact, we had another music video ready, but it didn’t fully satisfy us. With a planned trip to Ireland, we reshot it. The video is minimal—we wanted delicacy, poetry, and truth, without distracting the viewer from the message. That day, we filmed two videos: one at Gartan Lough, and another along the road between Gartan Lough and Doe Castle.

As for the music, the song was originally voice and guitar. We were satisfied, but when I played it to Rob Wells, he wanted to add his piano. We gave it a try, and his piano added even more poetry, strength, and truth.

We matter.
